VCNB introduces new mobile app

Move over TouchBanking – there’s a new app in town!

VCNB Mobile is now available to make your mobile banking experience better than ever! This free app allows you to bank on the go using your favorite mobile device. Most tablets and smart phones are supported including Apple, Android and Amazon.

The new app was introduced last week to replace TouchBanking. It is designed to be easier to find and use than our old app. We sincerely hope you like what you see!

If you were a TouchBanking customer, you should have been prompted to update your app the first time you launched the app on or after May 28. For those of you new to mobile banking, you can download VCNB Mobile from your app store. Once the app is downloaded, you will be asked to enter your access ID which is the same as your Online Banking username. You will then be prompted to answer one of your previously set security questions before entering your password.

If you haven’t used our mobile banking service, you may be wondering why this is such big news.

Truth be told, we couldn’t be more excited. Mobile banking is one of the fastest growing segments in banking and our VCNB Mobile has capabilities that allow us to compete with the big banks while still providing you with the great customer service of a small town bank.

With mobile banking, you can check balances, transfer funds, pay bills and more! Plus, you can use the app and the camera on your smart phone to deposit checks into your account for just .50 cents per deposit.

Remember, with VCNB Mobile you can tend to your money and accounts from anywhere in the world that you can use your phone or tablet. From a deck chair at the beach, to your comfy chair at home, to the front row at the PTA meeting, VCNB Mobile is there for you.

Here are the instructions for getting started:

– Visit your phone or tablet’s app store and download VCNB Mobile

– Enter your Access ID (online banking username)

– Answer your previously set Online Banking security question

– Enter your Online Banking Password

Mobile Money Sign-Up Is Easy!

As more and more customers are getting excited about banking on the go, we are getting a lot of questions about signing up for our Mobile Banking.

Our Mobile Banking App allows you to enjoy secure access to your bank accounts anytime and anywhere. That means you can pay bills, transfer funds and check balances from your mobile device quickly and easily. All you need to get started is a phone with text messaging or internet capabilities and online banking.

Here are the steps to getting started!

60 Second App Sign Up

Go to the App Store or Google Play and download Touch Banking.
Enter the app code VCNB1867 and your online banking ID.
Answer your previously set security question.
Enter your online banking password.

Easy Browser Banking or Text Messaging Sign Up

Log in to Online Banking.
Select the Options
Click on Mobile Settings.
Enter phone number and have your mobile device on hand.
Choose either Mobile Browser Banking or Text Messaging.
Select accounts to view by phone.
Read and accept mobile agreement.

Look for a text message to confirm enrollment with a web site address. Save it to your favorites for browser banking.

Checking My Way: Flexible and Easy

Have you heard about our Checking May Way account? We really like the flexibility and options this account provides!

With Checking My Way, there is no minimum balance required and there are no fees for electronic statements. If you would like to have a paper statement mailed to you each month, the cost is $3 per month without check images and $5 per month with check images.

The account comes with a standard debit card but for a $5 fee that can be upgraded to a vanity debit card.

Just download our Touch Banking mobile app and login to your account to get started. One of our newest services, Mobile Deposit, allows you to deposit a check with your smart phone. It’s as easy as taking a picture! There is a .50 cent per transaction fee. Also, you must endorse the check with your name and the phrase “For Mobile Deposit Only.”

Bill Pay – Have a fistful of bills and no stamps? No worries. Bill Pay allows you to schedule a single payment or ongoing payments for bills like utilities, the dentist and credit card. There is a $3 a month dormancy fee if you don’t use the service every 30 days but we believe you will fall in love with the convenience and cost savings and use it for all your bills. Think of the money you will save on stamps, checks and envelopes over a year!

Popmoney – Do you owe money to a friend or relative? You can use Popmoney ® personal payment service from VCNB Bill Pay to send them funds using just their email address or mobile phone number. Scheduled Transfers – Your New Year’s Resolution for 2014 is to build your emergency savings but you’re not doing so great remembering to save the funds?
