The holiday season is sneaking up on us. With October here, it’s just a sleigh ride through Halloween and Thanksgiving into the Christmas shopping season. It seems to start a little earlier every year and, for many, the list of expenses continues to increase as well.

That’s why VCNB offers a Christmas Club. The idea behind it is simple: put away a little each month for a happier holiday season.

You set the amount you wish to save. Some customers save just a few hundred dollars while others save thousands. Whatever amount you choose to save, we divide the total by 26 payments. Then we automatically transfer that payment amount from your VCNB checking or savings account to your Christmas Club every two weeks starting in mid-October. The following October, we will direct deposit your Christmas Club check into the VCNB account of your choice. Unless you tell us not to, we’ll automatically renew your Christmas Club, ensuring that you are ready for the next year’s holiday!

Signing up is easy. You can do it the next time you stop by your local branch or you can do it now using online banking! Just log into your online account and click on the Online Forms tab at the top. On the next page, look for the Christmas Club application. You submit it electronically and it takes just a few minutes.
